50 Romanian families in poverty stricken rural areas recently received food parcels thanks to Urspack’s partner charity, Fight for Freedom. Ikea own forests nearby but there’s simply not enough jobs locally so many from this village send a family member abroad to seek work. It’s hard to fathom this is a scene set in the European Union. More jobs, like the ones Urspack are creating in Romania, will help reduce this type of poverty so eventually less food parcels will be needed.
