The first surgical patient at Haiti’s Ouanaminthe Community Medical Center underwent orthopedic surgery thanks to a new operating room and a new surgical team! The OCMC’s expansion is an answered prayer for many in NE Haiti where few elective or emergency surgery options exist.
This privately owned medical center has continued to grow, reinvesting profits to build the new OR, purchase equipment, and employ new surgical staff. New hires also came with the recent purchase of an ambulance, needing a driver, and XRay equipment requiring a technician.
Infused Impact provides consulting services to OCMC’s management and has issued expansion capital in the form of our recoverable grants. This capital helped finance a solar system installed earlier this year. In a region where electricity isn’t reliable their solar system now ensures medical services aren’t interrupted – essential for running a new operating room!
These life-changing results are driven by OCMC’s owner, Dr. Manigat. As he expands his medical center new jobs are created, helping reduce poverty in his region – a Haitian owned solution for Haiti.
